The episode begins with Vidya suggesting they first place the wedding invitation in front of God before printing the rest of the cards. Abhira apologizes to Vidya, but Vidya gently says that she can’t always agree with Abhira. She reminds her that Maasa left the final decision to Abhira and that she will respect whatever decision Abhira makes. She then invites Abhira to continue with the preparations. Abhira writes her and Armaan’s names on a betel leaf, smiling as she does so.

Dadi arrives and makes a sarcastic comment, hinting that Abhira and Armaan won’t find happiness this way. Abhira responds by asking Dadi if she thinks they would be happy if she herself was unhappy and broken. Dadi advises Abhira that if family members only think about their own happiness, the family can’t function well. She reminds Abhira that she is about to become a part of their family as a daughter-in-law (bahu) and sister-in-law (bhabhi). Dadi suggests that Abhira learn from Vidya, who came into the family as the elder daughter-in-law and knows everyone’s likes and dislikes better than anyone. She tells Abhira that keeping up with these responsibilities won’t be easy.

Kajal and Manisha bring some rings for Abhira to try on. When Abhira accidentally drops one, she quickly apologizes, worried because it’s so expensive. Manisha reassures her and encourages her to try it on, pointing out that the ring is adorned with many diamonds. Kajal adds that as a new daughter-in-law, Abhira will need to get used to wearing lots of jewelry. Manisha then tells Abhira that she will be responsible for keeping Armaan’s engagement ring safe, as it’s a family tradition. Abhira hesitates, asking where she should keep it. Manisha firmly states that this is Dadi’s order and hands her the ring box before leaving. Abhira becomes anxious about the responsibility.

Dadi notices Abhira’s worry and warns her that she needs to be strong and handle all her new responsibilities. She reminds Abhira that she has to change and adapt to fit into the family. Abhira tries to reassure herself that she can keep the ring safe but stumbles in her nervousness. Armaan catches her and they have a brief conversation.

Abhira tries to give the ring to Armaan, asking him to keep it instead. She explains that, coming from a middle-class background, she only ever kept imitation jewelry in a locker and feels she can’t be trusted with a real diamond ring. Armaan laughs and invites her to sit down. He tells her that their rings are very expensive and reveals that they cost one crore rupees each. Abhira is shocked by the amount. Armaan explains that he understands her reaction because, unlike her, he has been surrounded by wealth since childhood.

Abhira worries that people might get greedy for the ring and that if she loses it, she would lose the trust of Dadi and the family, which would be too much for her to bear. Armaan jokes that if he suggested buying a new ring, she would probably scold him for wasting more money. Abhira, recalling Dadi’s words, decides that she will keep the ring safe and promises to make Armaan wear it during the engagement ceremony the next day. Armaan teases her, saying that being so cute should be illegal and pretends to arrest her. Abhira plays along and says that she’s coming tomorrow to make him hers. Meanwhile, Ruhi, who is upset, removes her rakhi and blames Anupama for ruining her plans. Determined to stop the wedding, she vows not to let it happen. Rohit, however, is excited about the engagement ceremony and tells Ruhi how happy he is. He suggests that despite any issues, Ruhi should support Abhira, especially since they tied rakhis and formed a bond. But Ruhi, feeling bitter, dismisses his advice.

Later, some thieves overhear talk about the expensive diamond ring and spot Abhira holding it. Sensing danger, Abhira heads to the outhouse to protect the ring. She locks the doors and windows, hides the ring, and reassures herself that it’s safe. She reasons that no thief would come to the outhouse instead of the main house. She plans to hand the ring to Armaan the next day.
